Editorial and publisher vetting policy.
Moody Media operates a link building agency and a vetted publisher marketplace. This page explains the editorial principles we apply when we recommend publishers, accept content, and approve placements for our clients.
Our principles
- We evaluate publishers on relevance, real organic traffic, indexation, outbound link quality, and editorial standards before listing or recommending them.
- We avoid hacked links, hidden links, mass profile spam, exact-match anchor packages, and “guaranteed ranking” claims.
- We separate ordinary SEO campaigns from casino, gambling and iGaming campaigns and apply stricter publisher and anchor checks to iGaming.
- We disclose dofollow, nofollow, sponsored and UGC link attributes to clients on every placement.
- We prefer brand, naked URL, partial-match and generic anchors over over-optimized commercial anchors.
What we publish
Editorial content placed through Moody Media must be useful to the publisher’s readers. We do not approve content that misleads, sells unlicensed financial or medical products, or violates the publisher’s own editorial rules.
What we reject
- Bulk packages such as “1000 backlinks” or “10000 backlinks”.
- Mass profile, comment and forum spam.
- Hidden, hacked, or sitewide footer links unrelated to the publisher’s content.
- Fake-traffic domains sold purely on inflated DR or DA.
- Anchor strategies that force exact-match commercial anchors across multiple placements.
Real vetting decisions
Examples from recent campaigns, anonymised:
- Rejected: a DR 78 health publisher with 90% outbound links to gambling and CBD sponsors. Failed the outbound link quality check.
- Rejected: a Nordic news subdomain with thin localized content, zero indexed pages outside the press section, and obvious AI-generated articles.
- Accepted: a DR 42 finance publisher with stable organic traffic, named editor, transparent contact, and clean outbound profile – prioritised over a DR 75 site with no traffic.
- Accepted with restrictions: a sports publisher allowing iGaming guest posts but only with branded, partial or generic anchors and a responsible gambling note.
If a client disagrees
Clients can request a manual review of any vetting decision by emailing [email protected]. We document each appeal and explain the final decision in writing.
Transparency
Clients receive placement URLs, anchor confirmation, publication status, replacement terms and reporting. If a link is removed inside the agreed window, we replace it or credit the client. Read more about the team behind these standards on our team page, or browse Moody Marketplace.
